18.Troubleshooting

If a problem occurs, refer to the solutions provided here. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The detector does not activate.
No battery.
Depleted battery.
Damaged or defective detector.
Reversed battery.
Install a battery
Replace the battery
Contact Technical Support.
Reinstall the battery correctly.
The detector enters alarm mode immediately when it is activated.
Sensor needs to stabilize.
Low battery alarm
Sensor alarm
Used sensor: Wait 60 seconds.
New sensor: Wait 5 minutes
Replace the battery
Replace the sensor.
The start-up self-test fails during one of the checks.
General fault
Alarm setpoints are incorrect
Contact Technical Support
Reset the alarm setpoints.
The detector does not display a normal ambient gas reading after the activation self-test.
Target gas is present
Detector requires calibration
Sensor not stabilized
Detector is operating properly. Use caution in suspect areas
Calibrate the detector
Used sensor: Wait 60 seconds.
New sensor: wait 5 minutes
The detector does not respond to the pushbutton.
Battery is depleted.
Detector is performing operations that do not require user input.
Replace the battery.
Pushbutton operation restores automatically when the operation ends.
The detector does not accurately measure the gas.
Detector requires calibration
Detector is colder or hotter than the ambient gas.
Sensor filter is blocked
Calibrate the sensor.
Allow the detector to acquire ambient temperature before use
Clean the sensor filter.
The detector does not enter alarm mode.
Incorrect setting of alarm setpoint(s).
Alarm setpoint(s) set to zero.
Detector is in calibration mode.
Reset the alarm setpoints.
Reset the alarm setpoints
Complete the calibration.
