10051165 Sirius Multigas Detector Kit by MSA
MSA is a leading manufacturer of workplace safety products. With a worldwide reputation as the Safety Company, MSA takes great pride in developing quality and reliable products that protect men and women from hazardous workplace conditions. The commitment to safety, efficiency, and dependability is unparalleled. Using the most advanced technology, MSA research and development is constantly developing new safety solutions that streamline productivity and provide quality and affordable safety products that are leaders in the industry. The Sirius Multigas Detector does just that as it combines a photoionization detector (PID) with multigas monitoring into one efficient and user friendly portable device.
Photoionization detectionThe PID is powered by a proprietary MSA sensor design. The sensor uses state of the art technology to resist humidity interference, provide stable zero readings, and activate fast response and clear times. When measuring for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the PID sensor is completely customizable by the user. Detection results are displayed on the large screen. The customizable high-performance PID and VOC readings may be activated or deactivated by the user or safety manager.
Multigas detectionUtilizing the best in research and development, the Sirius Multigas Detector is an industry leader in user friendly applications and reliability. For unmistakable assurance of atmospheric conditions, the unit’s screen constantly displays easy to understand readings for combustible gases, VOCs (if activated), CO, O2, and H2S. This information, or its preprogrammed character name, is clearly displayed on the screen alongside the battery life indicator which displays the remaining life of the battery.
User friendlyExclusive to the Sirius Multigas Detector, MSA has developed a distinctive and user friendly design for battery replacement in the field. A large slotted thumbscrew and attached lid makes it easy for users to swap batteries onsite without the risk of losing parts. The unit accepts a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack or an alkaline battery pack. Users can purchase an optional vehicle charger for the lithium ion battery pack which can recharge the pack while it is attached or detached from the multigas detector.
The user-friendly software is another incredible feature offered by MSA, the Safety Company. The software allows for easy preprogramming and customization of display screen characters along with detector readings.
AlarmsThe Sirius Multigas Detector features ultra loud auditory alarms and multidirectional ultra bright LED alarms alert users to potentially dangerous atmospheric conditions. An additional safety feature is the “Safe LED” light which flashes every 15 seconds. This ensures that the user always maintains confidence in the unit’s functioning.
Compatibility and calibrationThe Sirius Multigas Detector is completely compatible with MSA’s Galaxy Automated Test System. The user friendly single button calibration helps to maintain fully functioning sensors, and the compatible automated testing systems reduce calibration time and costs.
Sirius Multigas Detector KitsCurrently, MSA offers several models of the Sirius Multigas Detector Kits. Additionally, users may purchase the long-term storage kit to preserve the multigas detector in situations with infrequent use, such as emergency response conditions. These detection kits and long-term storage kits provide a multitude of accessories such as alkaline batteries, lines, probes, casings, calibration kits, record keeping tools, and lamps.
