In today�s rapidly changing climates, rainfall monitoring is becoming one of the most important issues for all countries. To monitor levels in order to maximise capture, for distribution, planning and for preventing flood damage, early warning systems are an essential tool for the hydrologist.

The Casella Hydro RT telemetry logger is the most advanced rainfall logging system from Casella, world leaders in manufacture and supply of global meteorological and hydrological monitoring equipment. It allows users to collect rainfall data remotely, and the unit will alert users if any of the pre-set alarm conditions are exceeded, thereby allowing appropriate control measures to be implemented.

The unit incorporates the latest GSM/GPRS technology for remote data collection from single stations or large networks, thereby also offering the user valuable cost savings in expensive visits to site for manual data collection.

The Hydro RT is a ruggedised telemetry data logger specifically designed for installation and use under hostile site application conditions where instrumentation is under continuous environmental abuse.

Rugged sealed connectors allow installation without opening the unit. The Hydro unit can be pole or wall mounted adjacent to a Casella tipping bucket rain gauge.

Modem	Internal GSM / PCN quad band modem designed for low-power battery operation. For rainfall recording, the Lithium cells can last up to five years. Easy SIM installation.
Software	Casella Harvest software for manual polling and data recovery is provided as standard. Casella IDQTel Software for email forwarding and automatic polling of gauges is available as extra purchase (includes PC end Modem). RLS software is for use with Casella non modem based RLS and can also analyse data from Hydro logger units.
