Pitot tubes of stainless steel construction are used for checking air velocity, pressure and static pressure. They are the probe or sensor to be used with precision manometers. There is no limit to the distance between the pitot tube and the manometer. Since no flow of air passes through the equipment, it is unlikely to be blocked by dust in the air stream.
