Excellent tool to quantify home Formaldehyde issues
October 25, 2015
We identified a potential flooring formaldehyde issue based on the flooring supplier. We have utilized the meter to measure the formaldehyde levels in our home and support key decisions in making changes in the home(removal of flooring, removal of MDF cabinets and the installation of an HRV- Heat Recovery Ventilator) for managing issues related to the levels of formaldehyde in our home. The investment in the meter can not only identify the culprit but also qualify the results.
Pros
  • Simple to use
  • Immediate results(no mail in)
  • Confidence in meter results
  • Supports identification and qualification of remediation results.
Cons
  • Meter cost - (may be offset by reducing the level of remediation)
  • Measurement tab costs (same comment as meter cost)
