BW Technologies BW Solo Single-Gas Detector, (Cl2) Standard - Yellow

$517.00

Making single-gas detection portable and effective with next-generation capabilities.

Easy to service, easy to operate, and all the sensor options required.

As a replacement for the GasAlert Extreme and the ToxiPro®, the Honeywell BW™ Solo provides all of the features of these top gas detectors as well as:

  • Longer life for greater return on investment
  • Increased compliance
  • Making it easy for workers to be connected
  • Boosting safety and protection on the job

Manageable and Lightweight

Featuring a low, lightweight profile and a practical design, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is ideal in any working environment.

Making simple detector service a priority

To avoid having to disassemble the detector to replace a sensor filter, sensor, or battery, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers a simple service solution. Just pop open the appropriate door on the detector for easy replacement.

Beyond hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon monoxide detection

In any workplace, including steel manufacturing and power plants, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers a range of sensors including:

  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Chlorine (Cl2)
  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
  • Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
  • Ethylene oxide (ETO)
  • Phosphine (PH3)
  • Nitrogen oxide (NO)
  • Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)

Increasing worker safety with the 1-Series sensor, the first in a single-gas detector.

As a next-generation detector, the Honeywell BW™ Solo uses the 1-Series sensor for fast response, accuracy, reliability, and a long life in any type of environment.

Adding to the gas types CO, H2S, and O2

Currently, the 1-Series sensor provides fast response for CO, H2S, and O2, with additional gas types coming onboard shortly. The design is smaller, about a third of the height of traditional sensors, and features a compact, square design for rapid gas diffusion and response times.

Extraordinary life and warranty.

With the 1-Series sensor, expect up to 5 years of sensor life with typical gas detection use, and the benefits of a 3-year warranty. With limited downtime and extended duty cycle, you have peace of mind in knowing this reduces the cost of ownership.

Developed by City Technologies – a Honeywell company.

The 1-Series sensor is developed by City Technologies, the Honeywell company responsible for the development of the 40XV and the 40xLL oxygen sensors used in the Honeywell BW detector. In addition to 40 years of experience, they provide quality and exacting standards to their sensor development.

Accuracy and performance.

Nuisance alarms creating problems? Adding the 1-Series sensor eliminates these false alarms while providing accurate readings in environments with transient pressure, high humidity, and temperatures from -40°C to 60°C.

Sensor switch-out without a hassle.

The design of the 1-Series sensor means there is no need to open the housing to expose the printed circuit board or interior circuitry to replace a sensor. It is as simple as taking out the old and dropping in the new.

Step up to automated fleet management and centralized data.

Combining the Honeywell BW™ Solo with the IntelliDox and the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software allows for optimal management of data and detectors.

The IntelliDox advantage for automation, configuration, and data centralization.

The IntelliDox dock allows the detector to be placed in position and automatically transfer data and complete requested actions. These actions include setting bump reminders, doing bump tests, calibrating the detector, or change set points. Connecting to a USB or Ethernet connection allows fleet management software to automatically transfer data to a computer for centralization.

The IntelliDox can also be grouped. Each continues to function as an independent system with an LCD, keypad, and pump, but shares both power and gas for calibration.

The Device Configurator software advantage.

Windows-based, the Device Configurator software allows for easy access to data, configuration of set points for alarms, fleet firmware updates, and other actions that improve productivity, safety, and compliance.

Immediate notification through the cloud.

Using the subscription service for the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager in the cloud allows your company to:

  • Monitor all gas detectors in real-time through one easy to use dashboard. This includes multiple detectors across multiple sites.
  • Customize reports
  • Provide easy, centralized data for audits, investigations, and review
  • Real-time notification of alarms via text or email
  • Added compliance features

Further simplification and convenience with smartphone apps for detector management.

Wireless control of the detector is possible and easy through the Connected Workers portfolio and your smartphone.

The advantage of using the mobile app.

The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be paired or linked with any smartphone, allowing the Device Configurator app to be a control for the detector. This allows the user to configure, set up the detector, determine alarm set points, and update firmware using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) at a distance of up to 6 meters away.

The app can be used to read the last calibration or bump data, when it occurred, and who it was completed by. It can also provide a certificate that can be mailed to required stakeholders for requirements for launch.

Eliminates the needs for docking stations.

For fleets, using a wireless option with the Honeywell BW™ Solo eliminates the need to have docking stations to transmit data. Using BLE, the app can read information and transfer it to the desktop software for centralized data management and reporting.

Increasing worker safety monitoring for remote safety managers.

The Safety Communicator app from Honeywell allows the safety manager or designated managers to see vital data without the need for docking. When the app and detector are paired through a smartphone, data is transferred in real-time to the monitoring software, where it is accessible by any internet-connected device.

Combining worker safety and increased compliance.

Practical one-button control and operation.

Using the Honeywell BW™ Solo is easy in any environment, even when wearing gloves. A single button is used for manual operation of the detector, or it can be configured with the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software. Both options allow for latching alarms, configuring set points, and adjusting parameters. It provides measurements for STEL (short-term exposure levels), TWA (time-weighted average) as well as peak gas readings over 24 hours.

Options for compliance or out of compliance determination

For at a glance confirmation of the detector being in or out of compliance, the IntelliFlash™ system allows for either option. A green flashing light signals the detector is correctly monitoring and has had a bump test.

With the noncompliance flash activated, a red light indicates the need for a battery replacement, calibration, bump test, or if there has been a detected gas event.

Combining auditory and visual alarms

In addition to a loud, distinct alarm with the Honeywell BW™ Solo, there is also the additional red LED lights around the display. The detector also vibrates, making it easy to see and hear in any location.

Simple to set up and to operate.

Know locations

By assigning the detector to an employee or a location, gas events are easy to pinpoint.

The peak 24-hour rolling reading advantage

Peak gas levels that are below the alarm settings are recorded with the Honeywell BW™ Solo. These are set on a rolling 24-hour basis, allowing early detection of potential safety issues.

Language options around the world

For international use, the gas readings on the detector can be displayed in all major languages.
